New season, new chapters, learning from both the past, present, and dreaming of the future
Why hello!
My new name is Heather Cheryl Perez. I am no longer on the market as I found myself in a beautiful relationship with my husband Alvaro. I am a wife! Woo! Being a wife rocks! Growing each day!
Soon we are expecting our little Ellie Abaigeal Perez on November 23rd, early or late who knows ;) It's one of the most suspenseful moments not knowing when labor is coming ;)
I just finished up my last day at work last Thursday! I am not going to be going back to the same job after as we are going to see how I am and also look for jobs and opportunities closer to our home and part time. But don't worry my Social Work degree is always being used and I hope to expand in my career as still get my masters & perhaps doctorate one day in the future :)
It was funny on my last few weeks I said to myself I am trading my piles of cases, paperwork, to go change diapers, and funny thing is I am super excited about it.
My husband is an awesome cook at a restaurant about 10 minutes from where we live, and he rocks at it. He is a way better cook than I, and he's got skill. I mean I need my spatula, my husband flips anything he can in a pan and he doesn't make a mess, me however, I make quite the mess, his food is amazing, and I am super blessed to learn as well as be surprised by his delicious meals he makes me.
We always have tortillas in our house, as that is his staple, my staple, I don't know I will have to ask him what is something different I have to have that is different lol!
We speak both English & Spanish in our household, and so will our little Ellie! Bilingual from the start is our method! I am excited to teach her both and grow myself as well as enjoy teaching two beautiful languages!
I still watch The Office a ton, in the background when I clean, or if I just want to relax after work, well I don't work anymore so we will see how that goes exactly.
I love to organize, I am finding cute ways to decorate our little condo, we have been blessed to get a lot of things we have as gifts and save money on bigger items.
It's been busy in the Perez household for traveling an hour back and forth everyday for me, to my husband working 6 days a week. So we are all over the place. But my last day was Thursday so now I have a little bit of spare time on my hands, which means I need to clean more, this is going to be quite the transition. As I am a doer, I don't like to do nothing, and I don't like to be stuck in the house, cooped up. So this shall be interesting. But the good thing is I have my sweet Jesus to spend time with, my guitar to learn, a little baby to care for, and my husband to share life with and a house to take care of as well. But please, if you are in the area come visit ;)
I am so excited for life! God is blessing us continiously through this crazy time of waiting, and preparing to have a little child, but who is ever ready really?
This is just an update, and I just want to say I'm so blessed and so thankful for each season of life as it passed, now it's on to the present, wife & motherhood! Yay!
Have a blessed day,
Heather Cheryl Perez
